Pick your phone. Follow five steps. Be online before takeoff. We strongly recommend installing on Wi-Fi before you travel.
You'll need to scan the QR with your iPhone's camera, so open the email on your laptop, tablet, or print it. The QR is in the message titled "Your gosimless eSIM is ready."
Activation needs internet. Hop on hotel or home Wi-Fi before starting.
Point your camera at the QR. It auto-detects in a second or two. If your camera struggles, tap Enter Details Manually and copy the SM-DP+ address and activation code from the email.
Name it something obvious like "Travel" or "Japan trip". iOS asks which line to use for iMessage, FaceTime, calls and data — keep your home SIM as default for everything except data. Set the new gosimless line as your Cellular Data source.
Go to Settings → Cellular → [Your gosimless line] → Data Roaming and toggle it on. Leave roaming off on your home SIM to avoid surprise charges. The eSIM will auto-activate when you land and connect to a local network.
Increase your laptop's brightness, or open the email on a tablet. If your camera still can't read it, use Enter Details Manually and paste the SM-DP+ address.
Toggle Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds, off again. If still nothing, check that Data Roaming is on for the gosimless line. Local network registration can take 2–5 minutes after landing.
Inside iPhone Settings → Cellular → Network Selection, switch from Automatic to a specific carrier (the partner networks are listed in your order email).
In Cellular settings, make sure your home SIM is set as the default voice line. The gosimless eSIM should be data-only.
Email [email protected] with your order number. We'll re-issue the QR if the eSIM hasn't expired.
